Additional Coaching Resources
If you are Black, Indigenous, Latine, AAPI, or a person of color, I appreciate you taking the time to consider what the best support system might be for you.
As a white person socialized in white supremacy culture, I am deeply committed to consistently developing my anti-racist facilitation skills, centering group agreements that minimize harm, and maintaining open lines of feedback to make my coaching as supportive as possible. If you join the Career Clarity Group, I will do everything possible to create an environment of trust, safety, and support for you.
At the same time, I want to acknowledge that I cannot promise to prevent all harm. There is always a risk that white supremacy culture could show up in some way in our work together, and it is possible that you could be the only person of color in the group. I also acknowledge that people of color often encounter racial microaggressions and other manifestations of racism in their career journeys, obstacles which white folks do not encounter.
You deserve spaces where your experience is centered, and you may feel more trust and resonance with a coach who shares your racial or ethnic identity. For these reasons, I want to share with you recommendations to practitioners of color, in case you might feel better-supported by them.
For career coaching for women of color, I recommend checking out Embrace Change. I’m on the lookout for other career coaches of color, and I welcome you to send me any recommendations to katherine@callingsandcourage.com.
