Experience

Leadership, Business & Career Coach. August 2012 – Present
My clients are nonprofit leaders and purpose-driven entrepreneurs who want to affect positive social change while sustaining their energy for the long haul. With my support, they develop the emotional capacity to lead and learn how to make a more powerful impact, with minimum stress and maximum joy.

Birth Doula, Childbirth Mentor, Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher, & Simplicity Parenting Facilitator. 2009 – 2015
I accompanied new parents through the rite of passage of birth, taught pregnant and postpartum women to care for their bodies, helped parents to simplify their lives, and offered Birthing From Within classes. My classes taught parents tools to have the birth they most desired while feeling whole and good about themselves, no matter what type of birth they ended up having.

Strategic Analyst. 2005-2007 UNITE HERE (the hotel workers’ union).
I co-created the strategy and messaging that led to two big wins for labor rights in Arizona- the passage of a cutting-edge city contract for fair organizing rights in Tucson, AZ and the successful election of an underdog, grassroots council member in Phoenix, AZ.

Canvass Director. 2002 & 2005. Connecticut Citizen Action Group.
I directed a group of 15 young people going door to door to raise money and recruit new members in the fights to protect social security and establish campaign finance reform. The canvass tripled projected membership recruitment goals, achieving one of the most successful canvass outcomes in the organization’s history.

I am currently engaged in a rigorous and exciting course of study at Marlboro College. This apprenticeship taught me how to track and transform personal stories of fear and self-judgment, to embody self-compassion, and to effectively navigate challenging relationships.

Craniosacral Therapy Training. Upledger Institute, Carol Gray, Don Ash.
While I ultimately discovered that my calling is not to be a hands-on healer, my year of intensive craniosacral therapy study taught me how to hold sacred space for clients, listen deeply, and harness the power of intention to create deep transformation.

Certified Simplicity Parenting Facilitator. Simplicity Parenting.
