for collective change
Welcome! I’m Katherine Golub (she/her).
Since 2013, I’ve coached progressive policymakers, community leaders, nonprofit directors, and others committed to social justice to make the contribution they’re called to make and find joy in the long haul.
I’m a mother, partner, activist, and city councilor, and my core values are Love, solidarity, community, learning, and adventure.

Work for social justice. You might be a nonprofit leader, social entrepreneur, progressive policymaker, community organizer, politicized healer, care worker, educator, activist, artist, or person otherwise committed to doing your part to turn our collective tables toward love and justice.
Want to heal or prevent burnout. Your work isn’t easy. The too-long hours, interpersonal conflict, never-ending struggle to prioritize, and other challenges take a toll. You often feel overwhelmed and exhausted by all that you have to do and yet still worry that you’re not doing enough.
Are facing a new challenge. It might be a new position, career, campaign, team, project, or commitment to work differently than you have before. This challenge may also be a work-related interpersonal conflict. You need new skills and support to rise to the challenges you face.
Long for greater clarity, confidence, communication skills, balance, and joy. You’re not looking for perfection (you’re over that). But you want to feel proud about how you show up and deeply content in your life.

When we’re pushing through the big leadership moments—and feeling our most vulnerable—leaders need thought partners who can help us both keep our eyes on the prize and see the habits that are holding us back in a compassionate and easy-to-act-on way.
I am grateful to Katherine for her skillful thought partnership and ability to help me work through the challenging, sometimes painful, and essential processes of organizational change and transition.
Eliza Byard – Former Executive Director, GLSEN
I’m walking away from my work with Katherine with a new vision that I’m excited to bring to the world. My perspective has shifted, and I now have more strategies to live the life I want.
I am better at listening to my intuition, planning my weeks, and focusing on what works. I so appreciate Katherine’s ability to listen and hold space, and I’m grateful for where I came to in my work with her!
Melissa Giraud – Co-Founder / Director, Embrace Race
Katherine is incredibly versatile, intuitive, and thoughtful. She brings a wonderful array of modalities to help explore the complexities of one’s desires (our many selves!) and the challenges (the gates!).
I appreciated her willingness to be such a compassionate companion and witness and to follow where my inner wisdom wanted to take the conversation.
As a result of our work together, I claimed a larger sense of what it means to live my life regeneratively, not just simply finding a new regenerative job or vocation. Such gratitude.
Curtis Ogden – Interaction Institute for Social Change
This work helped me reconnect with my passion, navigate difficult conversations, and get clear about what I truly needed from a job.
What helped especially was learning to focus on (and experience!) the good in my life. Now, rather than letting my challenges suck up my energy and make me feel stuck, I slow down, connect with myself, and create an action plan that feels good. And I now get to experience all of the deliciousness in the moments when I’m present!
Kursten Holabird – Executive Director, SEIU Education and Support Fund
I came away from our discussions looking with clear eyes at areas that had previously felt confusing or challenging and having an awareness and appreciation of the areas where things were going well. Within six months of coaching with Katherine, I started a new position that I am excited to tackle.
I feel clear-eyed about the community I am accountable to and how this new role will teach me lessons I want to learn in the next phase of my career. I also found the communication strategies that I learned with Katherine practically revolutionary. They challenged my attorney self to rethink how to work with, problem-solve, and relate to others.
Abbey Marr – Associate Counsel & Director, Prevention & Programming, NYS Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence
Working with Katherine transformed how I communicate. She helped me recognize my limiting stories and unhelpful ways of communicating and handling stress. As a result, I now have a much easier time getting out of the weeds and staying centered around my priorities.
I can now help others articulate their needs and choose a response that supports my long-term vision. When other people’s emotions run hot, I take a step back, remember what is important, and listen for the other person’s underlying needs.
I no longer get hijacked by other people’s agendas or judgments, and I no longer ignore my needs in order to please others. As a result, I am now able to satisfy my duties as chairperson while maintaining healthy boundaries for myself.
Adrienne Nunez – School Committee Chairperson
Coaching with Katherine was extremely transformational and led to huge and beautiful changes in my life. I let go of guilt, shame, and apology about following my body and intuition, excavated and realigned with my deeply held values, got clear about who and what I really want in my work life, and rooted more firmly into myself.
The experience was far more effective and transformative than any other therapeutic relationship I’ve ever had.
